Meet The Artist
I'm a father, professional, small business owner and creative. I decided early on that working didn't have to be work if I just focused on my passion. Photography has always been a part of my life. Growing up as a military brat, I was fortunate enough to travel quite a bit. Naturally, my father followed my siblings and I around like the paparazzi on these trips. At the time, it was embarrassing and really annoying. But as I grew older and had the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the truly priceless memories we compiled.... I quickly began to realize the power and significance of imagery. There is something magical about having a camera in your hand, ready to capture a moment that you know will only grow in importance and value over time. Creating technically beautiful, high quality images is important to me (really important), but ultimately what drives me is that overwhelming emotion we all feel when we discover an old photograph. That is why I chose to become a photographer. That feeling is my product. :)
Our Approach
Our approach is simple. Provide the service and respect the clients in this area expect from one of the most highly desireable photographers in Mankato. DP is a custom portrait experience. Our goal Whether its a ten hour wedding day or a quick one outfit mini session, client satisfaction is always the end goal. All the important details will be considered prior to your session. A solid plan is crucial in creating an experience that's relaxed and joyful. We understand that how you feel will reflect in your portraits, so expect a couple corny jokes and cheesy quips. Your images should show off your genuine personality and authentic self. We steer away from rigid posing and instead focus on capturing movement and raw natural expressions.
What to Expect
With Despres Photography you will experience incredible service, sophisticated styling and a superb finished product. The DP portrait process starts with a consult so we can build a game plan for your session. Typically we are booked out about two - four weeks in advance. You can expect your images to be presented in person at your personal viewing / ordering appointment anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks after your session. Digital Images, Prints, Cards & Custom Albums are all available. Every image presented will be completely edited and ready for print.
